Here is the fact why you should strictly avoid drinking water from plastic bottles

“It’s a well-known fact that plastic has a range of negative impacts on human health. So, it’s always suggested to dump plastic bottles while drinking water.”
Getting enough water every day is important for your health. You need to drink at least 4-5 litres of water every day to stay hydrated. But water is not just meant to quench your thirst, as it also helps benefit your health in certain ways. Drinking water can prevent dehydration. Hence, the container from where you drink water matters a lot as well. Many of us buy packaged drinking water without ever giving it a second thought. As it’s cheap, available, and also convenient. But it may not be the wisest choice as far as your health is concerned. This makes you exposed to various toxic substances, and eventually increases your risk of developing a number of health issues.

Water, when stored in plastic bottles, produces various other substances such as arsenic, fluoride, aluminum, etc. as well. These get absorbed in your body’s tissues and raise the risk of many diseases. Also, when a plastic water bottle comes in contact with heat, it releases micro plastics in the water, which further make their way into your body once you drink that water. These micro plastics cause various problems for the human body, including hormone imbalance, infertility and even hamper liver health.” Hence, prolonged consumption of water stored in plastic bottles can “cause severe health problems such as hormonal disturbances — in males, it can lead to low sperm count, and early puberty in girls.

Research also has found that drinking water from plastic bottles is linked to a poor and weakened immune system. This reduces your body’s ability to fight against viruses and bacteria. Hence, it increases your risk of developing several viral and bacterial infections.

“It is high time we make our community aware about the harmful effects of consuming liquids which are stored in plastic bottles.
We should go back to our good old times of storing liquids, especially water, in copper containers and glass bottles.”
